Try These Five Fun Riddles To Get Your Brain Into Gear

In these very, very weird times a lot of us have had to make new arrangements for things we used to take for granted. As more and more of our schooling becomes online and those of us who can work from home, the ways that we keep our brains productive are changing too.

Productivity is becoming a different concept. With the time that many of us are saving on our morning commute, it has left a hole in our routines. While that time could be used for sleeping, there is also merit to using some of that time productively. An excellent way to do that and kick your brain into gear, is by solving riddles. Here are a few to get you going (don’t worry, the answers are all at the end)! Good luck!

Riddle #5: Finally, a word riddle...did you know facts

Riddle #1 Answer:

The cup labelled 5 will fill first!

(All the other pipes block at some point)

Riddle #2 answer

There are 25 triangles

Riddle #3 answer

It's a tricky one, but there is no math involved.

The key is in the WORD. The numbers are in alphabetical order, and range from 1-19.

Meaning the next five numbers will be 10, 13, 3, 12, and 2.

Or, more visually, ten, thirteen, three, twelve and two.

Riddle #4 answer

This one's a little harder, but the answer is 16.

How? Remember suffering through algebra? Now it's useful.

The first equation: shoes + shoes + shoes = 30

This means that each shoe = 10.

Second equation: shoe + cat + cat = 20.

We already know that shoe = 10, so for two cats to equal ten together, each individual cat must equal 5.

Third equation: cat + whistle + whistle = 13

If cat = 5, then two whistles (which each have two whistles) must equal 8, making them four each. If a whistle was singular, then it would equal 2.

So, when 2x whistle = 4. And when 1x whistle = 2.

Final equation: shoes + cat x whistle = ?

Now, the key here is to look at the cat's clothes. In the final equation, the cat does not have a whistle around it's neck. Meaning the equation becomes:

shoes + (cat - whistle) x whistle = ?

When you add in the values it becomes

10 + (5-2) x 2 = ?

10 + 3 x 2 = ?

10 + 6 = ?

10 + 6 = 16

There you have it!
