Grocery Manager Sells A Homemade Baby Yoda To Entitled Woman Who Stole It From A Baby In The Store

Baby Yoda is not meant to be stolen from anyone, especially from a baby

They say stealing candy from a baby is too easy. But it’s not really a fight if you’re stealing from someone defenseless, isn’t it?

In one of the posts from r/entitled parents, OP had to deal with a woman who decided to steal from her niece when her attention was somewhere else. It was for her daughter, she reasoned.

It was an encounter that left her mad and her niece in tears. The woman she was pertaining to stole the handmade purple Baby Yoda that she specially made as a gift to her niece.

They were at a grocery store with OP’s niece sitting in the cart, her purple baby Yoda in hand. Then suddenly, she was heard crying, and OP saw a woman running off with the toy to the counter. 

She ran after her as the woman tried to get the cashier to sell the toy to her. OP defended that it was her who made it and had a picture of proof just in case she needed it.

With all the bickering, the manager got involved, and OP had to let go of the doll. The manager sold the toy to the woman, OP’s niece crying after her as she fled before he even listened to her side.

When he went to reprimand OP, she showed the picture that proved the doll was handmade by her. Even though he believed her, they couldn’t run after the woman anymore. 

This is how OP's problem started

OP's niece loved the baby Yoda so much she insisted with bringing it everywhere

The next thing OP knows, she's trying to run after the woman that stole the toy from her niece

She tried to argue with the woman that she made that toy and it wasn't on sale at the store

It becomes even crazier

The manager came to sort out the situation and OP had the picture she needed ready

But he sided with the woman who stole it

This is the Baby Yoda that OP made

OP is advised to report the manager to the higher ups

And others suggested to have the authorities involved as well for the theft

Best to check everything but the authorities might not take it seriously

OP already did the part of reporting it to authorities but had to face her BIL to tell the story

It's a different game when your loved ones get hurt

He could've listened to both sides first

There were so many steps that he decided to miss when he chose to sell it to the woman

Given the fact that the toy looks beautifully homemade, it could have been easily checked if it was in their system

Most times, making a scene isn't the best way to go but this time OP might want to consider it

Two simple rules

Someone stealing from a baby has people questioning their morals

On days that life's got you down and convinced you are a terrible person, think of this story. At least you are not so bad that you steal toys from an actual child.

How do you convince yourself, an adult, that it's okay to take things from a baby? OP posted an update where she managed to recover and repair the stolen Baby Yoda and finished the monogrammed replacement version for her niece!
