15+ Times Ellen Degeneres Displayed Problematic Behavior On Her Show

The year 2020 took a wild turn when numerous complaints regarding the behavior of the supposedly well-loved host, Ellen DeGeneres. The Ellen DeGeneres Show has long been a source of entertainment, juicy confessions, and a closer look into the personal lives of most of our favorite celebrities in Hollywood, and there is no doubt that it has provided us with a lot of iconic pop culture moments throughout the years it has been running.

In 2021, Ellen finally announced that the show will be ending after two long decades of entertainment. This resulted from being exposed to her rude behavior on set, with a lot of people claiming that she's actually not as nice as she is portrayed on her show.

This is not completely new, though. Ellen was exposed little by little over the years, but it has quickly grown when 2020 came and more people were stepping forward about the toxic environment she is creating because of her unpleasant behavior.

Some celebrities even joined in on the discourse, expressing their discomfort and awkwardness when they were on the show. Some defended the host, but there were a lot more who just affirmed the allegations, especially the ones coming from the crew.

Ex-employees also chimed in and expressed their own bad experiences with Ellen. The more people were exposing her, the more that the audience who have come to love the show over the years noticed how unproblematic most of her moments on TV really are; but it was all excused because she's a reputable and famous host.

It's horrific to see all these complaints made about Ellen, but when we look back and think of it, she did make a lot of pretty questionable things on the show, especially to her celebrity guests. Add to that, it's not just one staff that reported her behavior off-screen, and that speaks a lot, unfortunately.
