You can imagine watching someone you love so much take his or her last breath on earth, much less when that person is just a little baby. It hurts to know that there’s nothing you can do to keep them around for a while longer.
The heartbreak you’ll feel will just open the gateway for a river of tears to flow down your face. And all you can do is hold their hands as they take their last breaths.
Nora Hall is a 5-month-old baby who suffered a devastating stroke. And this stroke resulted in extreme brain damage, which is such a catastrophic thing to happen to a baby.
Then it was determined that she was born with a condition known as pulmonary hypertension. Devastatingly, she didn’t have so much time to live.
The baby was put into a medically induced coma for the following three weeks of her life. In Nora’s brief time on earth, she had already won the hearts of the two Basset Hounds living with them, named Gracie and Grumpy.

Mary Hall, who happens to be Nora’s mom, told ABC News that Gracie particularly took on the job as a second mother to the baby.
"Whenever Nora would cry, Gracie would run to see what was wrong. She was always, always by Nora's side, kissing her and making sure she was OK."

As the family prepared to let their little angel go, the Children’s Hospital located in Minneapolis inquired as to whether there were any last wishes. Nora’s parents insistently said, "yes," as they were curious to know whether their two dogs could say one last farewell to their little baby girl.

Hall asked if the hospital would allow their dogs to visit Nora and how much they would appreciate it.
They lowered the bed so the dogs could lay with her and Gracie ran up and licked her
"I didn’t want to go home and have them sniffing around for her and not knowing where she went. They lowered the bed so the dogs could lie with her and Gracie ran up and licked her," Hall added.

Mary Hall said that it was truly nice to have their request granted and that it brought them a lot of comforts. Gracie and Grumpy will keep on comforting and encouraging their family every single day.
It’s sad that Nora didn’t get enough time to explore the world, but we know that she’s in a better place looking over her mom and dad along with her dogs. Rest in Peace, sweet little Nora.
