These Dogs Failed Government Training Programs So They're Available For 'Normal' Households
Dogs that are too friendly to make the cut for government jobs could be left homeless if no one takes them in.

When a puppy applies for a job the process is a little different than that of their human counterparts. It is a rigorous process and not all applicants will make the cut.
When government agencies such as the TSA (Transport Security Administration) seek out new furry employees, they are looking for pups that fit a specific selection criteria. Sometimes the traits of the friendliest and cuddliest of pooches that we love at home do not fit within the job description, and the dogs that don't meet the requirements can be left without a home. Puppies that don't make it will be held in a facility while they undergo an adoption process, eventually joining a family home as cute and cuddly companions.
The TSA only want the best for all of their pups whether they make it through the training program or not. For this reason there is an application process to adopt young pups where potential foster parents will need to meet strict requirements of their own, which includes having a fenced in yard, supplying references and making it through a multi stage interview process including an interview with a vet.
More information on the process can be found on the TSA website. The waiting list can be long but this is to ensure the dogs go to the best homes. If you don't like to wait there are a number if different government agencies that have dogs available for adoption as well as your local animal shelter.
It's always heartbreaking when these friendly pups are left waiting in a facility. If you know someone in search of a loving companion for their family please pass this information on.
