Family Thanksgiving Ruined Over Woman’s Dislike For Dogs

Millions of people worldwide love dogs more than any other animal on the planet. And there are many reasons why. 

Throughout history, there have been many beautiful stories about dogs and humans. From dogs saving lives to them offering comfort to people in need, dogs have proven time and time again that they deserve their spot as the most popular pet choice in the world.

These canines are perfect friends for disabled people and children. Dogs help children build compassion, self-esteem, and cognitive skills.

At the same time, these fluffballs offer both physical and emotional support to disabled people. More than that, dogs improve heart rates and lower stress levels, generally promoting a healthier state of being.

Despite all the fantastic qualities these canines have, some people detest them. Most of them are cat lovers, though. Haha, just kidding.

Many people don’t like dogs because they shed hair, which can get quite discomforting for people when it's littered around their personal space. Worst of all, dog hair can even find its way into food if you're not careful.

We found one such person in the AITA community on Reddit, and she seems to have a lot of supporters. The story gained about 7.5K upvotes and over 2.2K comments in just a few days.

The writer of the piece dislikes dogs because she frequently finds dog hair in her food due to their excessive shedding.

OP shared that she doesn’t like dogs because they shed hair. According to her, her younger sister’s dog sheds so much hair everywhere.

OP, however, stated that her sister loves the dog, and that’s fine, but she only has an issue when it affects her.

No doggie meals

She further shares that she doesn’t eat her sister’s meals because of her dog’s sheddings, and she explained this to her mum.

It all came crashing down one thanksgiving

OP stated that she and her sister were supposed to have thanksgiving with their parents. When she got there, she saw her sister’s dog and found that her sister had been helping their mum cook all day.

A betrayal of some sorts

OP’s mother and sister made plans days before to cook together without OP’s knowledge. When she saw the dog in the kitchen, that only added to her annoyance, and she refused to eat the food.

All hell breaks loose

OP’s mother and sister asked her why she wasn’t going to eat, and she told them. However, OP’s sister isn’t convinced it’s enough reason.
