Dog Honours People She Loves With Her Bed Which Is Her Prized Possession

Meet this cute little dog named Dora. She has suffered anxiety for a long time. So, her family tries to come up with ways to make her feel less anxious and to calm her down.

“She’s very needy and absolutely loves being cuddled and stroked, but she’s also very anxious, and since we got her, has been scared of loud noises, thunder, leaves and all sorts [of things],” Dora’s mom, Ruby Simpson, shared with The Dodo.

Her bed is one special thing that has always helped with her anxiety. It is actually special, as it is made for dogs with anxiety. It helps in calming them. Therefore, this bed means a great deal to Dora and she keeps it close wherever she is.

Since this bed is very important to Dora, she shows her likeness for someone by bringing this bed to them. This expresses how happy she is to see them. She sometimes brings her teddy bear too, but for people who she feels are very special to her, she brings them her most favorite thing.

“Since she was a puppy, she always had to hold something in her mouth when she’s overexcited or anxious,” Simpson told. “Mostly it’s a teddy bear, but when she can’t contain her excitement, she gets the bed and brings it to the person she’s excited to see, sort of as a gift, but she has to hold it.”

Although Dora may feel excited to see a wide array of people, you have to be extra special to her for her special bed to be presented to you.

“Every time someone walks through the door, she will run to grab her teddy or bed, depending on how special they are,” Simpson remarked.

Dora is very sensitive, so she realizes the meaning and importance of her bed to her as it helps her with her anxiety. So, to let someone know how special they are to her, this is her way of expressing this, by bringing her bed to them.
