The original poster of today's story lost her biological dad when her mom was pregnant with her. They had been together for 10 years and married for two years.
OP's dad died in a car accident before he could even meet her. OP's mom met her stepdad when she was 9 months old, and they got married.
OP's stepdad adopted her before she was two years old, and she had minimal contact with her biological extended family as a kid. The OP's grown now, and one of her friends and his girlfriend were having a baby.
