He spent several years working in video production and also developed a love for painting and movies. He finds that having experience with video is really beneficial since he believes that comics can effectively use cinematic language.

Dave feels himself to be struggling with the art form as a novice drawer. The artist's manner has clearly evolved due to his 9-to-5 job and propensity to be exhausted once he gets home.
