Redditor Confronts Classmate At Her Workplace After She Stole Hundreds Of Dollars Worth Of Medication From Her

There's no worse feeling than having something you really like or depend on stolen from you. It never gets easier, no matter how much it happens to you.

Even if replacing the stolen item can be moderately inexpensive, some things have emotional value and can never be truly replaced. It's even worse when you can't afford to get a replacement for the expensive item that was stolen from you. 

Thieves have no shame and will take your belongings no matter how much it hurts you. The best way to deal with them is to involve the law and avoid breathing the same air as them. 

A Redditor who goes by the username u/worried-college-girl made a post on the r/AmItheA**hole subReddit where she explained how one of her classmates stole her meds while she was visiting her room. The user depends on those expensive meds to function as a human being and can't afford to replace them.

The police don't give much importance to on-campus theft.

Filing a police report would be the only reasonable solution to this problem.

"...time for there to be some real consequences beyond just a classmate showing up at work."

Stealing something as crucial as meds is worth showing up at someone's place of work.

Many users are confused why OP refuses to file a police report.

OP should have confronted her classmate privately instead of publicly.

OP should ask for a refill and then file a police report.

Everyone needs to be aware of this person's thievery.

The thief obviously doesn't care about OP's well being considering her reaction.

"You make a big enough stink and you will get reaction."

OP needs to act like an adult and file a police report.

Thieves deserve nothing less than that.

"Your friends are young and too stupid to grasp the seriousness of this."

OP should get off Reddit and file an official police report. The classmate is obviously not going to give up those meds, especially if she's dependent on them.
