Mentally Tired Teenager Calls Out Her Entitled Mom For Refusing To Let Her Experience Life On Campus After Striving Hard To Get A Scholarship

When we distinguish between the phases of childhood and adulthood, this bridge is enormous. One of the most amazing adventures in life is going to college.

College serves as a transitional period between a person's academic years and professional life. It's a place where a student will experience both highs and lows, making him or her more aware and wiser in the future and contributing to the growth of the individual.

The independence and wisdom we gain from college life are invaluable when it comes to managing our finances, juggling leisure time with employment, and so much more. We gain more exposure in college, and it also significantly boosts our confidence.

You'll be able to adapt to a wider variety of jobs and careers because of all the knowledge, abilities, and experience you'll acquire in college. The original poster for today's story was lucky enough to get a full scholarship.

This means that her entire education is free at any institution of her choosing. The OP had to turn down her dream school because her parents thought it was a party school that was two hours from their house.

The OP chose a school closer to her house, but her mom doesn't want her to live on campus. The OP knows it’s hard for parents to send their children off to college, but she didn't imagine college would take such a mental toll on her.

A redditor had this to say:

You deserve to be able to reap what you have sowed, you worked hard for it don’t let your mother stop you from growing into an adult 😞 it’s really too bad she just can’t be happy, don’t feel guilty for something she should be happy about!! Congrats 🎊

Lucky are those who get to appreciate and experience college life, as the majority of students are unable to pursue higher education for a variety of personal reasons. The OP is an adult, and she needs to start thinking like one.

She obviously deserves the college experience she worked hard for. Many redditors told her to remember that the "college experience" is great but she shouldn't forget about getting her education or she'll end up right back home with her mom!
