For lovers of pets or animals in general, dating people who don’t love our pets is usually a red flag. However, it’s even worse when they don’t try to do anything in order to get along with the animals, and that's a warning red flag that’s been set ablaze.

So obviously, we were deeply shaken when we stumbled upon this disappointing Reddit thread about one dude who thought he could give his girlfriend an ultimatum with respect to her dog. When you read this story, you might want to reach through your screen and give the OP a decent handshake!

Not just that, just like the Redditors, you’ll want to go grab her and tell her how much she needs to lose that guy, but then, sooner or later, she did sort it out herself. Furthermore, it seems like it was not too difficult to even consider doing.

Now to dig into the story properly, the OP has a 2-year-old Jack Russell named Brandy who just loves to walk and cuddle. The OP invited her 32-year-old boyfriend of four months over to her house.

He got there only for the OP’s dog to start barking and growling at him. The OP established the fact that she had never seen her dog behave that way.

So the OP’s boyfriend wants her to give up her dog or he’ll quit the relationship.
