Celebs are celebs for a reason. They have that charm that makes us want to see their movie, listen to their song, and read all about them (even though most people won't admit doing it)
Do they lose that appeal as they age, or is it becoming even stronger?
"Then and now" photos are very popular because they impeccably show how the celebs have changed over the years. We've followed their work through the years, and changes in appearance were subtle, and we've got accustomed to them.
If you'd ask us, we would say that they haven't changed at all. Sadly, time takes a toll on all of us, and the most direct way to show it is "then and now" photos.
But what about illustrations? Illustrators don't just record facts as the camera would- they don't paint an objective picture, but one with their own personal sensitivity built-in.
Talented artist Fulvio A. Obregon (also known as Fulaleo) created an interesting project called "Me & My Other Me," in which celebrities meet their younger selves. Each drawing is full of small but very important details: the glasses from the day John Lennon died in the hands of Yoko Ono,
ET" on the tiptoes of little Drew Barrymore, Madonna's T-shirt with a picture of her first husband, Sean Penn, and many other references to memorable moments in the lives of these famous people.
We have chosen some of the artist's best illustrations, and we know you are going to love them. Take a look.

fulaleoFulvio got inspired to start this project after seeing his cousin’s photo. It was composed of two images of her, one from her childhood and one recent photo.
We are so glad he decided to do this. His illustrations show how the celeb's appearance has changed, but the inner charm remains.
Okay, we have to admit that some of these famous people aren't really charming but they definitely have some inner strength that shines through.
3. Paul Mccartney

fulaleo5. Michael Jackson
fulaleo6. Cher
fulaleo7. Yoko Ono
fulaleo8. Sigourney Weaver

fulaleoFulvio is currently based in Melbourne, Australia. He is a humble guy and says that he is simply an Illustrator who loves to create concepts and pieces related to retro aesthetics and Pop Culture. But he is much more. He enables us to go back to the past and evokes memories of these artists’ first works. It’s those works that made us like them in the first place.
10. The Queen Elizabeth II
fulaleo11. Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia)
fulaleo12. Debbie Harry

fulaleoPeople get older and change. People we were once crazy about start to annoy us, and it’s hard to remember why we liked them in the first place. Flulvio makes us remember.
And that’s what’s important - these illustrations bring back memories of the first time we saw them in movies or listened to one of their songs.
