Life is unpredictable, some people end up looking like their dad, some like their mom, and some are just doing their own thing and look like neither of them. People will always make sure to remind individuals who look like one of the parents of their resemblance, which some find annoying because, from their perspective, they can't really see that resemblance.

When it comes to genetic influence, dads usually have more aggressive genes that are more prominent. There are usually 40% of active female genes and 60% of active male genes. Y-chromosomes have fewer genes than X-chromosomes, which is why boys end up looking more like their mothers. Girls on the other hand receive two X-chromosomes and that makes it impossible to predict what they will end up looking like.
