We've been doing some brainstorming recently and have some new ideas in the works. You're not alone if you've ever walked into your kitchen and found your cat curled up in the sink.

Many cats develop the habit of sleeping in cool places, especially in kitchen sinks. They are sometimes so relaxed that they even fall asleep!

Obviously, this does not appear to be at all comfortable for the majority of us humans. So we're left wondering, what's the deal with all these cats in sinks?

Cats actually enjoy the cold, hard basin of a sink because it keeps them cool. If it's warm outside or you have the heater on, your pet may see your kitchen as a welcome respite from the hot environment.

It's true, stainless steel and ceramic are both quite cool to the touch! Furthermore, many kitchen sinks have a rounded shape that conforms perfectly to a cat's bendy body.

Another reason cats may enjoy sinks is the fantastic view they provide. Most sinks allow cats to peer over the top and observe what's going on around them while remaining relatively hidden from passersby.
