New dream job unlocked
Cats are arguably one of the internet's top favorite subjects. Even if you’re not a cat lover yourself, it’s hard not to enjoy pictures or videos of cats being adorable, silly, or chaotic (or honestly, all of the above at the same time because cats, amirite?).
Thanks to the expansive nature of the internet, we’re always finding new cat-related content. It’s practically guaranteed that we’ll never run out of amusing cat content so long as the world keeps spinning.
Tapping into his own love for cats, photographer Nils Jacobi took his talent and skills learned from his studies in industrial design and came up with our current obsession. A self-proclaimed “catographer”, Jacobi has created a vast portfolio ranging from comical to sophisticated and everything in between that showcases the unique quirks and personalities (or should we say, purrsonalities) of cats.
Jacobi photographs all different types of cats, from designer breeds like Maine Coons, to mixes of unknown origins, he captures the beauty in them all. And he has managed to use his platform and skills to support local animal shelters, exchanging a photoshoot for shelter donations.

There’s no doubt that Jacobi is incredibly talented. It’s not easy capturing such incredible photographs, especially with living, moving, and generally chaos-driven creatures involved.
Getting to meet and play with cats all day? Literally the dream, Jacobi has one of the best jobs in the world.
