"I can't even begin to imagine what it would be like with an actual baby"

We all know that not everyone is good at parenting. This is why some people prefer having little or no contact with their parents or someone in their family.
It's one thing to have a parent who drives you crazy, but it's a whole other thing to have a mom who tries to steal something that belongs to you. The original poster for today's story is so pissed at her mom for trying to steal her cat.
The thing is, the OP and her BF had to move out of her brother's apartment, and they had an apartment planned, but it didn't work out. During that time of waiting until the OP and her BF gave up and were looking for another apartment, they had to live with her mom for a whole month.
According to the OP, it was torture living with her mom. A friend of the OP's mom's found a very young kitten who was tied up in a bag and tossed out in the garbage of a house half a mile away.
Not knowing what to do, this friend brought the kitten to the OP's mom, who handed her to the OP and her BF to care for her. They've had her for almost 4-5 months now, and she is a very sweet, water-loving, hyperactive baby who is living her best life.
But OP's mom tried stealing this cat, and the whole story is right below.

Some redditors couldn't help but think aloud because if OP's mother treats her kitty in this manner, how would she treat OP's new baby if she decides to have children? The OP might eventually have to cut off contact with her mother, even though it's understandable why she might not want to go through the difficulty of doing so at this stage in her life.
