This charming cat from Russia has had a really difficult past. The kitty was living on the streets, struggling to find food and shelter from the elements.
“We found him near the entrance to our house,” the cat’s humans say. “He looked like he was a home cat who didn’t know how to survive outside—he would just sit in one place for long periods of time.”
The family tried to find the cat’s owners, but no one answered to their ads. They’ve decided to take the cat in. “We named him Ginger because we already have a black cat who we call Mr. Black.” And the two immediately became best friends.
Just what you would expect from a black cat named Mr. Black and a ginger cat named Ginger!
cute_ginger_catEven though Ginger is now living in a warm and cozy home, it’s evident his old days have made him tough. He likes to spend time in the backyard, playing in the snow, and discovering his surroundings.
“He is super cute. He loves to be with his people, and I think that he knows how to enjoy life because it looks like he savors every moment.”
Ginger’s owners said he likes to stay at home, but he also enjoys going outside from time to time. “Snow is not a problem for him; Ginger likes to explore the outdoors in winter too. He even plays with snow. But it usually doesn’t last very long, and he runs back home.”
Ginger’s owner also says he is a bit of a troll. “When he is patrolling his territory, he likes to tease neighboring cats and dogs. For example, he sits in front of the fence and just stares at a dog who is barking at him.”
He likes to spend time outside in summer too. Since his owners are often in the garden when the weather is nice, he pops in to check on them.
