The real fuel for the internet is memes and cats. Imagine how boring the world would be if we didn't receive our daily dose of amusing cat pictures shrouded in enigmatic cat logic.

Consider how many memes would not even exist today if not for these images. Can memes even exist without cats?

Is it their appearance or their attitude that makes them so fitting to star in memes? Well, who can say?

Most people can't separate one from the other. They are so expressive.

Their whole appearance serves only one purpose - to represent their character and attitude. Why do cats devour food as though they just had a few seconds to get it down before puking in the middle of the carpet a minute later?

And how do kids determine that wrecking the house at three in the morning is a great idea? Even though we may never know the answers, we may at least gain some insight into the strange and fascinating world of cats with the use of cat-approved meme language.

“Some cats do silly things to get our attention; we run and get our cameras, cooing and paying attention to them.”

Meanwhile, “other cats are bored and are trying to find outlets for pent-up energy,” Molly said. The majority of cats still have quite strong instincts because they are both predator and prey animals.

“Whatever the motivation for the strange behaviors, it’s always good to pay attention to your cat and tell it how much you appreciate the laugh,” Molly concluded.

When you have a cat, life is never boring. They definitely spend a lot of time sleeping and relaxing, but when they are awake, you never know when they'll do something adorable, amusing, weird, or even slightly evil.

And we love them so much because of that. And thank God they don't spend more time awake.
