Body hair has been debated throughout the years if it can be seen as attractive on a woman’s body. Society often goes with the notion of men that they would find women more attractive if they don’t have or have less hair in certain places like armpits or legs.
This resulted in women succumbing to different methods like waxing, shaving, and laser removal. The sad part is rather than doing it to feel more comfortable in their skin, they would do it to not receive judging looks.
The media portraying actresses who are flawless because they are pampered to be ‘screen-ready’ would often fuel the insecurities of women everywhere. This is why celebrities that go against the grain of letting their natural body hair show are getting recognition.
If more famous women show that they can flaunt their natural body hair in front of people then maybe more people will accept it. This would lessen companies capitalizing on products that aim to target women’s insecurities about body hair.
Women’s body hair is as normal as men’s. The difference is, men are not shamed for theirs.
Women are sometimes ridiculed for taking a long time getting ready for dates and events because they have to make sure they are flawless, hair-wise. But when they disregard that matter, they are condemned for it as well.
This is why famous women like the ones on this list might spark inspiration for women and say, to heck with it. Let your hair flow the way you want it to.
