Even nowadays, there are still times when we hear some individuals say that felines are bad pets. They say that cats are too cold, that they sit idle doing nothing, that they don’t cherish their hoomans, don’t show affection, and all that.
Then they cement their views by saying that it’s smarter to simply get a dog. Yes, we know dogs are great pets, but so are cats as well.
Naturally, cats are very easy to handle and not too costly to cater for as well. We realize that felines show warmth to their people constantly.
We realize that felines give solace to their people when they need it. People that are cat owners know that felines always show affection to their hoomans when it’s needed.
Cats aren’t cold; it’s just that they show kindness to their owners unexpectedly. This does not imply that they are awful pets, and it doesn’t imply that they are cruel.
This boy’s story proves this point. The boy's mother shared his story on the Reddit platform and it went viral, and we believe it all happened for a good reason.
The story is one of those that you will find so wholesome and inspiring, so we thought it wise to share it with you all as well.
His mom shared his story on the Reddit platform and it went viral
u/HisMommThe boy in question has autism and has offered his assistance to a shelter home. For so many years now, he has helped cats get their forever homes.
The boy is autistic and has been volunteering in a shelter
u/HisMommWe truly can’t fathom how much good volunteering in this shelter has done for the kid as well as all of the felines he has associated with as the years went by. We believe that this is a particularly beautiful way to help your child as well as the community too.
It's so good to see him bonding with these cats
u/HisMommWe thank his mom for sharing his story and the pictures with us. It’s so great to see him communicating with these felines, and so many of them for that matter!
We cannot even imagine how much good volunteering in this shelter has done for this boy
u/HisMommIt's a miracle he didn't come home with the cats
And the mom gave a heartwarming reply...
u/RosieapplesObviously, they love him and trust him too, as they are climbing all over him like this. We wish the OP and her son all the best.
Here are more of what other redditors had to say:
He's just happy knowing that they're being cared for
u/sigzag1994This idea is certainly helping everyone involved
u/yankeerebel62The OP shared another heartwarming statement
u/HisMommAnd he now has the name...
u/Ninalicious07This redditor is wondering if their local shelter will allow an adult with autism in too
u/catcitybitchAnd finally, we have this beautiful piece from the OP again
u/HisMommFor some people, it is better to get a feline as opposed to getting a dog. Felines don’t take a lot of room while laying down with their owners, and they always stay inside.
When considering the numerous advantages and more that you can get from cats, you’ll understand why this kid chose to go care for them.
