Hilarious Dog Is Arrested By German Police For Sneaking Away From Home

The poor dog just wanted to go on a little adventure…

Dogs and humans have something in common: a lust for adventure. Dogs have adventurous genes, a thirst for the wilderness thanks to their wolf ancestors.

Police in Germany had an interesting intervention recently after one dog managed to sneak out from home in the village of Ziegenbach. The silly dog went off seeking adventure!

But somewhere along the way, the adventurous dog encountered some cyclists who stopped to play with him. The kind people were concerned the sweet dog was lost and that there must be people out there looking for him.

So, they called the police and stayed with the dog until they arrive. The poor dog didn’t know what was happening and how did his desire for adventure, or maybe a love call turned into a hot pursuit that involved cops.

The police officers loaded the dog into the cruiser and took a photo of themselves laughing in the company of their cute detainee.

But as you can see, the dog didn’t share their enthusiasm.

When the poor pooch decided to slip away from home, he knew that there would be consequences, but he probably expected some frowning, not police.

"The dog's look is priceless," Middle Franconia Police wrote afterward.

Luckily for the pooch, the policemen did their best to return him home. They've asked around in the village and were able to locate the owners.

"The dog's owner could be found, and the four-legged friend could be returned," the police department wrote on their social media account.

We bet he will now think twice about sneaking away from home, now that he knows the police is out there.
