People are starting to believe that Airbnb has drifted off course from the original idea. Airbnb promotes itself as a method to connect guests with unique local hosts and experiences, but as the company has developed, it has had to deal with increasing frauds and low-quality listings.
Then there are the excessive cleaning costs and house restrictions, which can quickly add up—the firm struggles to strike the proper balance between allowing hosts to express their personality while providing a consistent and high-quality experience for guests. Of course, Airbnb is just the middleman here, but it's also to blame for the situation.
They don't check the listings, and they are often in peaceful residential areas. So, for example, if your neighbor rents their home through the platform, you might grow bored of the house next door residents throwing loud parties all the time.
And that's only the tip of the iceberg. Airbnb has also taken advantage of legislative loopholes that have allowed it to pay significantly lower taxes than hotels.
The list could go on and on. So, to summarize all of the reasons why people hate it, we gathered their complaints (along with a few jokes) on Twitter and placed them on display for all to see.

srmohamedAirbnb began in 2007 when two San Francisco Hosts invited three guests to their homes and has since expanded to 4 million Hosts who have welcomed over 1 billion guests in almost every country on the planet.
The idea behind the platform was to provide cheap accommodation for travelers and an additional source of income for homeowners. But, since its creation, it somehow shifted from the original idea, and now Airbnb listings are pricier than hotel rooms.
And the are all kinds of expenses added to the price, along with long lists of rules. As long as there is a demand, things are not going to change.
The renters are exploring the limits to see how far they can go. And by the looks of it, they are not going to stop any time soon.
But that’s just because we let them.
