Life Changes Dramatically After This Family Adopts A Whole Litter Of Kittens

Kittens are like babies – they need a lot of care, attention, and food. Adopting a kitten can be hard, not just for new pet parents but also for the kittens involved.

Imagine how you would feel if you were to move into a new home with strangers. It would certainly feel a little scary, among others.

That is how kittens feel when adopted and taken to a new home. That is why preparing your home beforehand and learning as many things as possible about cats is important.

With a little preparation and forethought, your new feline friend can feel at home in no time. Kittens are naturally playful and curious.

That means you can expect them to make a mess of your home when they arrive. Each kitten has a different personality, needs, and 'madness.'

Kittens will become well-behaved, happy cats only when you train and socialize them. Usually, it is not a great idea to adopt a single kitten and leave it alone while you go to work all day.

If you do that, you will raise a reclusive cat or one desperate for attention. Think about it this way.

Kittens, or any other animal for that matter, prefer company rather than solitude.

Adopting kittens...

A new family just adopted a litter of kittens, and they seem to be handling them pretty well despite the challenges.

Taking to social media to share their experience and cute photos of the kittens, they wrote: "We adopted a whole litter, luckily it was only 3 kittens, all ladies."

"After first baths, first vet visit and new home they are still willing to snuggle up for nap times. Much more than we were planning on, but we found we just couldn't split these best friends up."

"Best decision we've made in a long time? I guess this whole post is cat tax, too bad I missed caturday, maybe next time."

Adopting a kitten is a big commitment since cats have a life expectancy of 15 to 20 years. However, it is worthwhile as you would be gaining a great new friend and family member.

Whether you adopt a cat or a kitten, new pets generally need time to adjust to their new environment. To make the adjustment period easy, it would be best if you set up a room or area solely meant for the cat.

The place should be their safe space and where they can rest without disturbance from other pets or family members.

Although the length of time that each cat or kitten needs to adjust to new surroundings and new people varies, you should allow them to spend the night in their safe space for the first few months.

Doing this would minimize the trouble they may cause when you're sleeping or away. You may notice your cat trying to leave their room to explore your home fully.

Instead of letting them do that immediately, you should introduce them to new areas and allow them to roam around gradually.
