It has been over a decade since the movie "Bride Wars" came out. Just to remind ourselves, it's an American romantic comedy with a touch of black humor.
The film was directed by Gary Winick and written by Greg DePaul, Casey Wilson, and June Diane Raphael. It follows the story of two best friends and their most important life events.
Since childhood, Liv and Emma have imagined their fairy tale wedding. They were best friends from their earliest childhood, so it's not exactly a coincidence their vision of the most significant event in their lives was pretty much the same.
They both got engaged about the same time, but a mistake led them to schedule weddings on the same day. Since none of them wanted to postpone her wedding at this point, they forgot their long-standing friendship and began to sabotage one another's big day.
The story is full of various tricks they have conducted for each other. There were a lot of quarrels, story twists, love, and stress.
But in the end, the story ends with emotional enlightenment and reminds us of what truly matters. Like icing on the cake, they both got pregnant and had the same due date.
But let us remind you of the movie's actors. More than a decade has passed since their roles, so let's see how much they have changed in past years.
Metaphorically speaking
Kate Hudson as Olivia Lerner
Kate was very busy in the past decade. She has released two books, launched her athleisure line teamed up with JustFab, and played in the movies like Little Bit of Heaven, Something Borrowed, and Marshall.
In 2018 she got a gorgeous baby girl called Rani Rose Hudson Fujikawa.
