When casting actors for movies, it is important that they have budding chemistry to make their scenes a lot more special and intriguing. Some actor duos just exude a natural vibe that roots in their real-life friendship or connection, and it truly shows in their work—making their film a lot more successful and iconic to the audience.

Take Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio, for example; they work so beautifully as a pair that they got cast in another movie in 2008 called Revolutionary Road together, after their classic roles as Jack and Rose in Titanic. The same goes for Timothée Chalamet and Saoirse Ronan, who have worked in a total of three movies together because they are just that good as an acting duo.

The same can't be said for other actor pairings, though. Well, actors are still humans, and certain feelings of negative emotions may come along the way, especially when their personalities just do not mix well together.

There will always be people that we just won't get along with, no matter how hard we try, and sometimes, they are the ones who make it even harder to like them. Someone's personality is just one of the basic reasons to dislike them, but if they actively bully you and other people around, that's when people just turn their backs and conclude that someone is generally just a bad person.

This particular feeling is no different from actors who are, at the end of the day, workers. There are a lot of these entertainers that have outspokenly expressed their discomfort and hatred for someone they once worked with for a movie or a show, and of course, it didn't bode well for the receiver of the complaints.

That being said, here are some actor pairings that had such a difficult time working together, that it's highly unlikely for us to see them again together on screen:

1. Julia Roberts and Nick Nolte

Julia once said that her I Love Trouble costar was "completely disgusting." The two had a difficult time working together so some of their scenes were filled with stand-ins.

"He's going to hate me for saying this, but he seems to go out of his way to repel people," Roberts said to the New York Times.

8. Freddie Prinze Jr. and Kiefer Sutherland

Freddie had to take a break from acting after he worked together with Kiefer on 24, saying that "Kiefer [Sutherland] was the most unprofessional dude in the world."

9. Debra Winger and Shirley MacLaine

And finally, while filming Terms of Endearment, Debra Winger and Shirley MacLaine made no effort to hide their hatred for one another after filming Terms of Endearment. The conflict between the two became apparent when they were both up for a nomination for the Best Actress category at the Academy Awards.

In 2017, she said, "It made for great ink. I didn’t have to do interviews. I did one and it lasted for 10 years."

14. Samantha Ware and Lea Michele

Samantha Ware wasn't the lone complainant for Lea Michele's behavior on the set of Glee. But she was the one who called Michele out for her "tragic microaggressions" that made her question her worth as an actress because the singer made her "first television gig a living hell."

Her claims were then backed up by Heather Morris and Alex Newell.

Life in Hollywood isn't all glitz and glamor—people here have to deal with different personalities each and every single day, and there won't always be an assurance that these personalities would mix well when joined together. Conflict is something that's quite common in Hollywood, but at least we get some ideas about who is truly a good person or not behind the screen!
