It’s hard to imagine that we’ve been watching our favorite Marvel superheroes on screen for nearly 2 decades now. With each new movie or television series, we’re given another opportunity to see the beloved 80-year-old comic book universe come to life.

That’s a LOT of content, and the writers on these projects have proven time and again that they are really good at their jobs. While they have plenty of inspiration to draw from the original comics, writers have also taken references and made callbacks between all its movie and TV shows over the years.
And it may be surprising to learn that writers, directors, and producers have worked together to plan callbacks for years in advance. We’ve collected over 60 instances to share, keep scrolling to check out some of our favorite callbacks.
