The employer literally shot himself in the leg

We've all heard tales of terrible bosses, and perhaps many of you have even worked for such people. No matter what you do, no matter how hard you work, you will never be able to satisfy them.
These bosses come in all shapes and sizes, so you guys are probably quite lucky if you haven't met one. These managers don't have any legitimate reasons to despise or mistreat you, and when asked why they did so, they simply say, "We didn't like that guy."
This is the same scenario the original poster shared with the Reddit community today. The Redditor kicked off by saying that he started working for his uncle two years ago. He has a firm with some business partners of his, and the OP's employment is now directly under him.
When the author's uncle left on a business trip, one of his colleagues filled in for him. Things started to get tense at this point because the author's "attitude" bothered the temporary supervisor, who saw an opportunity to lower his pay.
You may read more about what happened by scrolling down below. Just be sure to read it all the way through, or you won't understand what's being said.
And the OP kicks off his story
DisastrousNarwhal926OP has been serving as his uncle's personal assistant for the past two years
DisastrousNarwhal926OP reached an agreement on a contract and began receiving a certain sum of money each month
DisastrousNarwhal926When it came to work, OP was always available, and his uncle is aware of his work ethic
DisastrousNarwhal926Work was going well until September, when Gordon stepped in to play his uncle while he was out of state meeting prospective business partners
DisastrousNarwhal926Due to his exhaustion from working a 14-hour shift the day before his uncle's departure, OP made the decision to leave early on Gordon's first day as his employer
DisastrousNarwhal926OP's attitude toward his work infuriated Gordon, who told him that his salary would be withheld if he didn't achieve the target
DisastrousNarwhal926OP's talking about laws that ensure that you are treated equitably in every nation or state
DisastrousNarwhal926They will also pay him overtime because we are required to do so by law
DisastrousNarwhal926Although OP showed up for work on time and even put in the extra time that would have earned him overtime compensation, Gordon had anticipated a cut in OP's income
DisastrousNarwhal926The rate of overtime pay increases
DisastrousNarwhal926The situation is now favorable to the OP
DisastrousNarwhal926To cut the long story short...
DisastrousNarwhal926Now let's hear what other Redditors have to chirp into this story
DisastrousNarwhal926It's literally added as if the OP didn't leave work
DisastrousNarwhal926If the OP works there long enough, he gets a stake at the business
DisastrousNarwhal926This Redditor hopes the OP is not too obvious with his grin
DisastrousNarwhal926Your uncle let them set themselves up for this
DisastrousNarwhal926Sending Gordon a note thanking him
DisastrousNarwhal926Gordon is clearly the OP's biggest supporter
DisastrousNarwhal926This Redditor would buy a new car and rename it Gordon
DisastrousNarwhal926What we see here is a case of willful compliance, where a supervisor makes a working clock in and out throughout the day in the expectation of paying him less, but the guy instead receives a 30% raise. This is definitely an awesome read, and we hope you enjoyed reading it as well.
