Reddit user shared a story of how she became a free babysitter for random children on a plane because the dad overheard her saying she worked at a school for children with special needs.
Every parent has times when they are tired of their children, particularly when they're still young and love playing around. That is the reason some of them recruit babysitters so they can have a day or evening off to live it up.
It's not workable for everybody, so they simply need to manage it. Or, on the other hand, they could simply leave them with a total stranger for a little while and take several hours of rest.
Well, that is an exceptionally bad notion, and parents should teach their children about stranger dangers. But a Reddit user u/Mindfultherapist186 shared a story on the r/entitledparents subreddit page about how she met an entitled father who would prefer a stranger on a plane to care for his kids.
The original poster (OP) was in the TSA (Transportation Security Organization) line and she was behind a parent with two kids. The OP saw that the mother was totally drained and the father was caring for the mother while their children were causing a tad of an uproar.
The OP, who recently worked with children with special needs, figured she could make the children tone it down a bit. After some time, travelers were loaded onto the plane, and the OP tracked down her seat.
She saw that the drained mother was perched by the window and already dozing, but the father was coming in her direction with Daniel and Eric. Keep scrolling to find out what happens next.
Well, Daniel had a seat close to her, and that was the second when the father figured it would be smart to trade places with Eric, so he gave him the ticket and immediately went to sit beside his wife. Below is the full story in the words of the author.
The mother apologized to u/Mindfultherapist186 and persuaded her husband to do likewise. She told her why she dozed off, and later on, the OP heard the mother was discussing how dangerous crowded places and strangers are.
The OP got a heart folded out of a brochure from Daniel before they parted ways, and the redditors had a lot of comments to drop. But here are a few of them:
Nothing terrible happened, and from what the OP posted, it appears that the two young gentlemen were sweet kids as they allowed her to nap in peace. The post got 13k upvotes, and you’ll agree with me that it ended in a wholesome way.
