Career Woman Gets College Ex-Boyfriend Fired From Her Workplace, Sparking Accusations Of Power Abuse

Once upon a university adventure, our narrator (Original Poster) decided to give love a try—but things didn’t go as planned. Not only was her new beau the definition of boring, but they were also like two mismatched puzzle pieces.

Two months in, OP hit the eject button, bidding farewell to dull dates and mismatched interests. You’d think this was the end, but it only marked the beginning of the creepiest persistent pursuit.

For the next two years, this guy morphed into her university shadow: he attended the same classes, strategically loitered near her, and even ‘bumped” into her at the cafeteria.

He had an uncanny ability to be wherever OP was. Creepy, right? Yet, all he did was stare and deliver a daily dose of overly cheerful greetings—hardly grounds for a restraining order, unfortunately.

Fast forward to the present, and OP had clawed her way up to the top of that corporate ladder. She was a boss lady, managed a rocket-fueled team, and life was good.

After a well-deserved vacation, OP was back to work and ready to take the corporate world by storm. The first step was to meet some new hires in a Zoom meeting.

Out of nowhere, she was slammed with a blast from the past—her ex was one of the new hires! She swiftly ejected the meeting room with a flimsy excuse and placed a frantic call to HR to explain the situation.

Luckily, they were very understanding, and in no time, this persistent stalker was given the corporate boot.

Now he won’t stop accusing OP of abusing power to get him fired. Did she do anything wrong in this situation?

Redditors stand firmly with OP. This man stalked OP in college, conveniently found where she works, and even managed to get hired on her team! Talk about full-blown stalker antics.

How did he magically get her contact details to complain? Everyone agrees OP did the right thing.

They urge OP to keep on future calls/encounters in case a restraining order becomes necessary.
