Young Woman Lives Her Full Michael Scott Fantasy At The Airport When She Yelled "That's What She Said" While In Line At The TSA
While you shouldn't make "The Office" the basis of your entire personality, there's no denying that it still is a comedy gem. Whether you'd like to admit it or not, we know you find yourself quoting famous lines from the series.

We have our own favorite characters from the hit series and they actually vary as the series progress; my personal favorite is Mose. Although, at the heart of the series still remains Michael Scott.
Steve Carell's iconic portrayal of the Dunder Mifflin branch manager is undefeated. He was the perfect mix of a lovable goof, a competent salesman, and a frustrated comedian.
One of his unforgettable catchphrases was, "that's what she said!" He proudly said it every time someone said something remotely suggestive of phrases you can say during sex.
There are so many prime opportunities to use this patented Michael phrase in real life. You just wouldn't expect it while in line at the TSA, but that's the beauty of "that's what she said!"
The TSA agent at this young woman's airport needed the line to push together in order to move forward. His yelled instructions were, and I quote, "PLEASE PUSH IT IN AS FAR AS YOU CAN!"
Cue OP who didn't even think when she immediately yelled back, "THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID!" Her regret came as fast as her witty retort.
Not a single person in line with her laughed at her reference
They did turn their heads to look at OP with a mix of shock and disbelief. Our hero is just glad she never has to see these humorless bunch ever again.
"How are you gonna say that to a large group of people?"
You usually have to pay extra for that
OP seems to be keeping her great sense of humor
Exquisitely executed! 10/10
Do redditors have the same sense of humor? It's top notch!
It resulted to this ~boooby-trapped~ exchange
Are we there yet?
Almost there
Finally!
This would have been the perfect follow-up! They would have definitely done more than just look at OP awkwardly.
If she said this next, OP would need a lot of creativity looking for an alternative means of overseas transport
Who would have thought a place where nothing is on time and everything is 125% more expensive is not full of comedy connoisseurs
Hmmm, let's think. What could a person traveling to Las Vegas possibly do with a wad of cash? Something doesn't add up here.
True to her humor, if she were in that situation, OP confirmed that she would have replied this way exactly
OP will eventually graduate to "dad jokes" level of funny
Maybe the joke didn't land because they didn't hear the set up?
Yeah, that seems like a better alternative
See? The "that's what she said" crowd can use the phrase anywhere as long as the opportunity presents itself
Ah, so the best finale to the full Michael Scott treatment
OP had a blast reading through all the comments when her plane landed (too bad her joke didn't come with her)
OP is just a fan of "The Office," she is not a pervert
OP didn't have her people who would have totally appreciated her jokes but she needed an outlet when that TSA agent yelled the perfect set up
OP's joke wasn't offensive! The only thing she hurt was her ego but only for a while.
Reddit was the perfect avenue to share this story and OP knows it.
Their advice is to never go full Michael Scott but in OP's case, it was actually awkwardly hilarious. True to the essence of the world's best boss, OP proudly said the joke and looked around if anyone found it as funny as she did.
No one at the airport did but a lot of people on Reddit certainly did. We also completed the original Michael Schur trio in this article (sorry The Good Place!), they weren't that hard to find unlike your mama or something.
