Wendy Williams has been a hot topic over the years, and sadly, not for the right reasons. Now, the American media personality is opening up like never before in her tell-all documentary, 'Where is Wendy Williams?'
In the two-part, four-and-a-half-hour program, Williams discusses her ongoing struggles with alcohol abuse and the financial hardship she is facing after being placed under court-appointed guardianship.
In a trailer for the Lifetime documentary, the 59-year-old becomes emotional during the interview. "If it could happen to me, it could happen to you," she says of her troubles.
The trailer shows Williams getting visibly distressed as she speaks about her guardianship and the resulting financial stress she is under. "I have no money," she said.
Williams was alleged to be of "unsound mind" back in February 2022. She was placed under guardianship due to "undue influence and financial exploitation," although Wendy has consistently denied these claims.
In June 2023, Wendy checked herself into a treatment facility in an attempt to get help with her alcohol addiction. Her family had become concerned for her life at that time.
The documentary features interviews with Wendy's son, Kevin Hunter Jr., and other family members, including her sister, Wanda Williams, who sympathizes with Wendy's struggles. "We all make choices in life," she says.
"We all go through our challenges. She's still a person."
