Let's face it, we all had our cringe and embarrassing phases, and the Internet world was no exception. The early Internet era was certainly full of wonders, and being weird back then was, well, kind of cool.
We often forget how different technology was back then, and we were still on the first steps of what would become the most meme-merable milestone in the course of history. Photos and Facebook statuses were a lot more shameless in the earlier times, and there was not a single time you would scroll through your browser and not see someone with that horrible emo haircut (we know you know).
Sometimes, we even pull out some throwback trends and bask on the aesthetic that's called y2k, and pretend we are still living in that era. Well, who could blame us, the 2000s were certainly one of the most iconic periods that produced a lot of pop culture references that are still in trend as of today!
Back then, maximalism was a thing. Which explains a lot of weird things we dig out of posts from the 2000s.
Check out these things about the early Internet world that will surely give you a nostalgic trip down the memory lane!
