Adorable Shelter Cat Gets A Forever Home After Its Plush Gets Tossed In Place Of A Bouquet At A Wedding

Adoptable pets and furry family members have become a feature of weddings, thanks to a Tampa-based wedding pet care company. It may sound like a scene from the humorous film Bridesmaids, in which Melissa McCarthy's character Megan brings home nine pups after the wedding.

Here, however, the company makes a concerted effort to promote "responsible pet ownership." Prior to founding the innovative business FairyTail Pet Care in 2015, best friends Kelly and Ilana volunteered at nearby animal shelters.

Cassie and Jonathan Roth came up with the novel idea to substitute a "cat toss" for the customary bouquet toss at their wedding. FairyTail Pet Care was thrilled with the concept when they heard it, but don't worry—just a plush cat will be tossed.

After the bride threw the stuffed animal, one of the bridesmaids leaped to her feet and caught the plush cat. After then, she went on to adopt a real cat and that is a true win!

Five adoptable kittens were brought to the wedding by the company. They took care of them and interacted with the guests as well.

They have occasionally collaborated with the Tampa Bay Humane Society to help adoptable kittens and puppies find homes. You can only imagine how happy the guests are; occasionally, it even results in donations to the shelter.

That is one determined cat lover and we're glad she made it

Currently, over a thousand pets are featured in weddings and other special events, and those donations amount to over $20,000. In order to allow couples to incorporate their furry family members on their important day without having to worry about herding kittens or puppies, they also specialize in offering wedding day pet care.

The cat toss TikTok from FairyTail Pet Care went viral. The wedding guests were aware that the winner of the plush cat would be adopting a cat, but they were unaware that there would be additional adoptable cats present!

There was also cat-themed décor, as you can see in the video. They described the cat throw as "the most intense toss we've ever witnessed" when it finally happened.
