Even when we haven't had the opportunity to become brides ourselves yet, we know how stressful weddings can get—the planning, the venue, the food, the guests, the colors, and literally every detail needed to be considered in order to make sure that everything will go smoothly as much as possible.
That also includes having to book reliable personnel that could elevate the big day further, such as an event planner, a host, some musicians, and of course—the underrated photographers.
How else would you be able to relive your memories of your big day if not for the photographer who ensures that every significant moment is captured on camera? Some people may think that smartphone DIY documentations are enough—but nothing really beats the quality of a professional photographer to document your day so beautifully.
Taking over the photographers' side, however, there have been many cases where a client has canceled on them right on or before the big day because of some reason.
But have you ever heard of a photographer canceling their own gig the night before a bride's wedding day?
Well, that may sound quite rude when you think about it—but this one particular photographer actually had a good reason for doing so...
Shayla, a wedding photographer from Arkansas, shared her story online about a certain sticky situation that she had with a client some time ago. Her video explaining what happened has become viral and people are backing her up.
shaylamherringtonShe apparently canceled on a bride the night before their wedding day.
shaylamherringtonEverything was well at first—they sorted out all the preliminary details, and the only thing unsure was the venue for the event.
shaylamherringtonThe bride went ahead and booked her, so everything just seem great at first...
shaylamherringtonShayla sends her clients a questionnaire for her to know all the important details, and so that she could properly document the whole thing.
shaylamherringtonHowever, went she sent the bride her questionnaire, the client did not respond as fast as she thought they would.
shaylamherringtonOut of kindness, Shayla even sent the bride a Starbucks gift card—just in case she was too stressed with the whole wedding deal.
shaylamherringtonBut even after that, she still received no response from the bride. She tried calling, emailing, and texting her further, but alas, there was no response at all.
shaylamherringtonThen came the night before the date of the wedding, and the bride still hasn't responded.
shaylamherringtonShe did pay the deposit, but Shayla decided to cancel her gig, simply because she had no idea where the wedding was going to be held.
shaylamherringtonThe next day (the big day), the bride finally responded—and naturally, got angry at Shayla for being "unprofessional."

Here's what people have to say:
Right?! The photographer was too kind.
The logic flew way over the clients' heads.
And yet she acts like the victim. Face palm.
That was a mistake on her part but still!
Again, she was too kind!
MIght've been the better term.
Here's a great suggestion:
Some people asked for some tutorials:
Fight fire with fire.
And she thought she was in the right!
There's no question about brides being too stressed to handle other matters during their big day, but they must also respect the professionals they're hiring because it ain't no easy work either. Who do you think is at fault here?
