According to The Vegan Society, veganism is a way of living which seeks to exclude, as far as is possible and practicable, all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose. It is believed by many that there has always, at least to some degree, been vegan people or people living life to vegan values. On an individual basis, it is a personal decision that works for the people who happily choose it. The great debate on this lifestyle comes from whether or not everyone should or even can be vegan. Many animal rights activists and loud & proud vegans would insist that vegan is the only acceptable way to go through life and some of them have some pretty strong arguments.
Never the less, statistics suggest that only 0.5-1% of Americans and Europeans are vegan so it's safe to say that convincing the rest of the world they, too, need to be vegan is an uphill battle.
This uphill battle will be particularly tough when Tumblr gets involved. That's right, you probably are inclined to believe that Tumblr would be a haven for vegans but it is precisely the place where users came together to debunk the assertion that everyone can and should be vegan and their thorough, logical arguments have been taking the internet by storm ever since. You have to read it yourself!
The debate begins.

Here you go, enjoy your carrots.
Cheese? Honey? Yes, please.

Why doesn't anyone think of the rabbits?
No, seriously...
This rabbit conundrum does not seem to flow well with a vegan lifestyle.
Never say never?
Well, maybe when it comes to insisting you live completely cruelty free.
