In today’s society there is high pressure to find a partner. Music, books and movies all overly romanticise the idea of finding “true love” and being forever attached to another human being.

More often these days, this has resulted in people finding people with little emotional and life compatibility and as a result finding themselves in unhealthy relationships that cause some short term anxiety and stress as well as potential significant emotional damage.

One Twitter user found this out when her boyfriend, Mark told her to unlove her ex’s stating that she could never truly love him until she did.

Don’t think that’s how love works.
