Freelance Artist From The Philippines Is Creating Undeniably Magical Disney Fanart
Chrissy Rose lives in the Philippines where she is a freelance artist. Even at first glance, it is clear to see where she aligns herself in the fandom universe: Disney, Kylo & Rey (Star Wars,) and Avatar: The Last Airbender.

The extremely skilled digital artist has been creating and sharing art for almost a decade and because of the diversity of her interests and the obviousness of her skills, she has quite the following! Her fan art is truly sprinkled with magic and that's probably because she's so obviously passionate about the stories and characters she's found herself invested in and inspired to re-create.
We see a lot of Disney fan art and we are always happy to see more, but special artists truly should be amplified for how wonderful their illustrations are, and Chrissy's art definitely fits the bill. She often captions her pieces with elaborate information and that really helps the viewer (and reader) come to realize how invested she is in her work.
Some artists illustrate fanart on a commission base only, some create fanart as a means of honing their skills, and other artists are making fanart because it means something to them. That's highly respectable indeed.

1. "It Suits You" / Pocahontas
2. Rapunzel & Flynn / Tangled
Regarding this truly stunning art piece, the artist said that she truly loves the movie Tangled so much:
"Flynn(Eugene) and Rapunzel are one of my favorite couples of all time. Not just in Disney, but overall. And that's saying a lot."
She elaborated on the characters further:
"Flynn is definitely my favorite Disney dude. I love everything about him. Of course, keeping in with tradition I took forever getting around to drawing him.
Rapunzel, who I have drawn before a million years ago, is just, ugh, so great. They really balanced her character out beautifully. Like she's sweet, brave, and creative. But yet she doesn't come off as a Mary Sue. She actually feels relatable. Another great thing about her character, that I honestly like the best, is how enthusiastic she is about everything. Seriously watching her discover new things is the best."
3. The Little Mermaid
4. "The Greatest Gift and Honor" / Mulan
5. "How do you think Captain Flint did it, Mom?" / Treasure Planet
6. Tinkerbell
7. Belle / Beauty and the Beast
8. Tiana & Naveen / The Princess and the Frog
This piece's romantic essence is similar to the elegance of the Tangled piece, and that's no coincidence. The artist said:
"I love the Princess and the Frog! I mean, I love a lot of Disney movies, but it's really up there along with Tangled. So it was high time I did a fan art piece for it."
9. Peter Pan
10. Anastacia / Cinderella
11. Beauty and the Beast
12. Pocahontas
13. Gogo & Fred (Big Hero 6)
14. Aladdin
15. Rapunzel
16. Belle
17. John Smith (Pocahontas)
18. Elsa (Frozen)
19. Pocahontas
20. Rey & Kylo (Star Wars)
21. Leia on Hoth (Star Wars)
22. Obi Wan Kenobi (Star Wars)
23. "A Princess Among Stars" Leia / Star Wars
24. Anakin & Padme (Star Wars)
In addition to all the incredible pieces of fan art that she has created, this mini-series dubbed "Witchsona" depicts five, iconic Disney princesses as if they are witches. Each piece is way too fantastic not to see with your own eyes!
She was inspired by "modern witch ideas" while browsing Pinterest and decided to give it a Disney twist.
25. Aurora / Sleeping Beauty
"This one took a while cause it was supposed to have a sister piece posted with it of peasant Aurora's witchsona. But I decided it wasn't really necessary and would be kind of unfair to the other princesses that only get one piece. So that didn't happen.
I did make a blue version of this piece though. I'm actually pretty surprised I didn't go with blue in the first place considering I loved the blue dress,. But when I did the rough colors, I don't know, the pink one just looked better."
26. Cinderella
"I like to imagine witch Cinderella enjoys decorating pumpkins on Halloween and conjuring up new glass shoe designs. Maybe her Fairy Godmother can be her magic mentor. I had tons of fun designing her shoes and hat and drawing the decorations on the pumpkins. There's also Jaq and Gus Gus there in the right lower corner, in case anyone missed them (they're so tiny)."
27. Mulan
"She is one of my faaavorite Disney characters of all time so it was such fun doing this piece. I added in as many details related to the movie as I could. A choice which kind of sent me on a roller coaster of "why did I do this to myself" and "I love these details, they make the piece". But seriously, can you guys see the references? I really, really hope so."
28. Rapunzel
"I'm not gonna point out all of the Easter eggs cause I want people to enjoy spotting them for themselves. But two I will highlight (since they're kind of hard to see) are the three books in her bag (they're the same three she has in the tower) and the paints, that say Corona and have the sun symbol on them. Aside from those the rest are pretty easy to spot."
29. Belle / Beauty and the Beast
With full sincerity, we hope you enjoyed Chrissy's artwork. Over the years, it has become abundantly clear that skilled and passionate artists come from all walks of life and reach every corner of the Earth.
What a wonderful realization to tuck away in our minds because it means that we will never stop having opportunities to enjoy incredible Disney fan art!
