Husband Shuts Off The WiFi At Home So That His Workaholic Wife Would Stop Working On Her Laptop

Welcome back to another Reddit post from the AITA thread that we will be going through today. We love to go over these posts because there are a lot of different perspectives and opinions that we get to look at.

Ultimately people post on this thread to get unbiased opinions and advice on whether or not they are wrong or right for how they acted or what they said in a situation. Sometimes it's best to just get an unbiased opinion from the internet to see things clearly or from a different perspective.

This time we're going to be looking into a situation that was posted by a husband who is looking to see if he's in the wrong for turning off his home WiFi so that his wife would stop working on her laptop. Now this sounds like the common case of a workaholic and her husband is trying to get her to take a break, but we'll have to look into the full story to see exactly what his reasoning was for doing that.

OP starts off his post by explaining the situation with his wife and the fact that she's pregnant with twins.

He explains a little about her job and how much she works from office and in home.

He said that the doctor told her to take a step back from work because it's becoming too much for her.

He explains the situation in more detail and says that she's been struggling as she's been working so much.

He says that he tried getting her to go to bed but she resisted and continued to work.

They compromised and she decided to work for a bit longer even though her husband was annoyed.

He then decided to cut off the WiFi so that she would stop working because she seemed to have no intention of stopping

She was very mad and even slept in a different room than him and hasn't said a word to him yet.

He wants to know if he's wrong for how he acted even though he did it out of concern.

He added an update about how their conversation went after he posted the post and explained what they decided on.

The ending of their situation sounds like it went well and they are on the same page now.

He said that he realizes he was in the wrong and accepts his judgement.

The first comment really said everything that we were thinking the whole time.

This commenter says that he understand the concern but basically he should have approached it much differently.

Other people decided that ESH because she was risking her health and he went a little overboard.

People started agreeing with the ESH judgement in saying they both were technically wrong.

We do have to agree that he was just concerned and that maybe she does need to take a step back from work.

The judgement vote was YTA but a lot of people said that ESH and we have to agree with both. The husband was just concerned and the wife is clearly just trying to work and get her job done.

However, finding a way to communicate their needs was key and we're happy to see that they made up in the update.
