According to ufaw.org: "Ehlers-danlos syndrome is a group of connective tissue disorders that are characterized by fragile, stretchy and loose skin, caused by a genetic defect in the production of collagen. In cats affected with Ehlers-danlos syndrome, this defect results in the collagen fibers having an abnormal structure. This weakens the skin and reduces its structural properties, and makes it prone to damage."

Ehlers-Danlos can affect both humans and cats, but while it affects 1 in 5,000 humans, it's considered extremely rare in cats. Toby and Leo are two such cats, and they're living their best, Insta-Famous life in England with their devoted humans, Georgina and Christopher.

Toby and Leo live together with their humans Georgina and Christopher. Another EDS kitty named Quinton used to live with them, but Quinton crossed the rainbow bridge. Leo recently celebrated his one year gotcha-versiry with the family!

It can be hard work caring for special needs pets, but Toby and Leo are very much loved and well cared for.
