There is no doubt that food is important for the survival of the human race. People struggle every day just to put a decent meal on the table and just be comfortable in general.
There are people who can afford anything they want in abundance so wasting food is nothing to them but there are some who don't like wasting food, especially if it's still edible. After all, there are people who are homeless that go from one trash to the other searching for meals.
In all, I just want you to know you're not alone, you're not damaged, and there's nothing wrong with you if you've ever eaten something out of the garbage (but we aren't saying that it's a good habit). And as you can already tell, the Redditor in today's story did that too.
The 21-year-old OP lives with her elder brother in a house owned by their grandparents. The OP's brother has a fiancee, Tina, who is religious and adamant that they can't live together until they are married.
Tina and her parents came over to their house for a casual lunch and to discuss the wedding. The OP, who was in the kitchen, saw some fast food donuts in the trash that were still in their packaging.
Guess what she did? She took them out and started eating them, which resulted in a weird look from Tina's dad.
I'll pause here and let you read the entire story in the OP's own words below.

RedditThe OP didn't know where the donuts had come from, how old they were, or what might be wrong with them and she just ate it. According to her, she "was just eating perfectly good food that someone decided to waste."
