Everyone loves Christmas, but kids love it more. The excitement on a kid's face when they spot a present with their name on it is epic and truly wonderful.
Santa gets to be the reason why a kid smiles when they unwrap their presents while parents plan the budget for next year's Christmas. Kids, being kids, have a huge list of things they want as gifts for Christmas.
I knew a kid who wanted a Ferrari or the divine winged horse, Pegasus. He also penned down "Unicorn" in the tiniest handwriting at the end of his 50 million gift list: Poor kid.
Somehow, we always teach our kids to learn to differentiate between fake and real, but when it comes to Christmas, no one wants to be the Grinch. And because of this, if you ask any kid what they love about Christmas, the list usually starts with presents, Santa, and elves (It's okay though, they'll eventually know.)
Anyway, the point is Christmas is a great time to fill your hearts with gratitude for everything you have and to retain your presence of mind if you lose presents. Lose presents?
That's what happened to big sister and Redditor steez424 who nearly lost her mind over her sister's most-wanted Christmas gift.
This is when it all started, the curious case of the missing Nintendo Switch.

This is what elder siblings do. We promise to control the situation without knowing what to do about it.

Just then steez424 had an idea, what if Santa was blamed for *not* bringing the Nintendo Switch on time? This would buy her the time she needs to buy another piece.

But it was 4am and the next day was Christmas. This family needed a miracle.

But the note negatively amplifies the situation. Now, Santa's stranded because Dasher is missing.

It was only after the dust settled that the Nintendo Switch decided to show itself. What a troll.

The things you do for love... This big sister became Dasher for her little sister to keep the Christmas spirit alive.

Finally...

Redditors who read her story had a lot to share too, beginning with busterlungs, who commends the big sister for saving the day... well kind of.

Absolutely subparjuggler. It is a win, but she'll be in a sweet pickle the day little sister finds out...

Yes, I'm sure she'll find this story absolutely hilarious! This sister did get creative with the hoof beats though.

But a lot of people agree that OP is the best sister on the planet.

People were feeling mushy on the inside after reading OP's story... it's true though, this is a wholesome mess-up you can't be mad at.

Others wondered why checking the vents was more important than the car they brought their presents in...

Amid accusations of OP faking the story, MichaelHammor comes with an icebreaker.

On the other hand, many appreciated how OP dealt with the situation.

Oscaruit's comment made me chuckle! I'm sure OP will continue celebrating Christmas and prioritize the car.

Lucky for OP because otherwise Santa would've been stranded for way too long.

Meanwhile others still couldn't believe OP's story and came up with their own versions.

That said a few had negative thoughts popping in their minds after OP left the gift outside to make hoof sounds.

OP's story opened a can of debates, but the responses are hilarious.

Everyone loves mushy comments, and this is one of them.

Although jthompson473 has a point, kids will eventually figure it out.

frogger3344, on the other hand, makes a good point. You wrap the gifts so they can be unwrapped in less than 10 hours.

Then there's the story of how Rudolph flew halfway to the moon because of hokigirl1's pixie dust.

While OP claims the story is real, others were like...

Meanwhile Delta2Actual revealed his childhood secret...

LOL. This is sad, but hilarious at the same time.

In the end, we're glad big sister saved Christmas and that little sister got her most wanted X-mas gift! That said, OP and everyone else who reads this, please, pretty please prioritize your cars.
When you lose something, your car is the third place to look. All in all, we're happy this story has a happy ending!
