CGI has changed the movie industry. Whether for better or for worse - it's a long and complicated story, and we wouldn't really want to get into that.

But the fact is that the movies are much more spectacular now. They show worlds and things we couldn't have even imagined seeing on screen a couple of decades ago.

There were many movies that were groundbreaking - Jurassic Park, Matrix, Terminator, etc. Oh, let's not forget Avatar.

We all believed that CGI and visual effects could only improve after Avatar's release in 2009. You can't blame us, it is only natural to expect that every following movie would raise the bar even higher.

But that hasn't always been the case, particularly with movies like Thor: Love and Thunder. The Thor: Ragnorok sequel has drawn criticism for its creepy and unsightly CGI effects.

Thor: Love and Thunder, the fourth chapter of the standalone spin-off starring Marvel's Thor, was initially released on July 6 and has since sparked intense discussion among fans and detractors.

Along with headliners Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman (who is returning), the movie also has appearances from Christian Bale, Russell Crowe, and Jeff Goldblum.
