The '80s were definitely a time when everything was the opposite of minimal—every home had something funky and big, and the products back then were just so fascinating to have. Everyone seems to be nostalgic for the '80s decade nowadays, courtesy of shows like Stranger Things, and with everything that's been shown on the show that references all the popular things back then, it's quite enjoyable to take a look back on what we occupied ourselves with back then when smartphones were still non-existent.

Back then, we didn't have access to entertainment and games with just a tap of our finger, so we literally had to beg our parents to buy the latest toy that every kid in school has been raving over. As opposed to the high-tech games that kids play right now such as Pokémon Unite, Mobile Legends, Valorant, and all other video games, the sources of entertainment back then were in the form of dolls, boards, and stuffed toys.

There's really no question why the 1980s were such an iconic decade, as it has brought us some of the best things in pop culture—TV shows, music, and toys. Even the ones born in a later decade are nostalgic for the '80s, and it's a good thing that some of the trends back then are having a comeback at present time.

This entertained us for hours on end and we wouldn't put it down because we refuse to accept defeat.

2. Nintendo.

Nintendo was born after Atari. What a time to be one of the first users of this back then!

Their hair was such a delight to brush and tame.

Everyone loved playing Pac-Man here.

5. Simon.

This game definitely made us feel like we could rival a computer.

6. Rainbow Brite.

She had all the brightest colors and had her own cartoon.

7. Aqua Net hair spray.

The must-have essential for the big hair trends back then.

8. Care Bears

Each care bear had its own unique personality, and it definitely put a twist in contrast to just owning a simple teddy bear—no bias involved, though!

9. Teddy Ruxpin.

“Can you and I be friends?” Yep, this was definitely the best talking bear to hit the market.

10. Your first cordless phone.

Ah, the good old days when phones had such long antennas and you were afraid to break them.

11. Tang.

Honestly, who didn't get to drink this back then?

12. Jelly shoes.

It's weird how we thought these cheap and plastic shoes were cool back then.

13. Cabbage Patch Dolls.

Every kid was practically begging their parents to get them one!

14. MC Hammer Pants.

Hammer time.

If you had this, you were definitely a hit among your friends.

We can't get enough of him on TV so we had to have the stuffed toy version as well.

17. Popples.

These were such great cuddle pets!

Phew—that was definitely a nostalgic ride. The '80s decade was just full of everything fun, and they just don't make toys anymore at the present time as they did back then!
