It's always a nerve-wracking time when you're looking for a job and putting in applications or doing interviews. Many of us expect the application process to be pretty smooth whether you're doing a paper application or if you're doing an online application it's pretty straightforward.
When submitting a paper application usually you must go into the place of business and give it to an employee or manager at the store for them to review. Although this method isn't exactly common anymore, luckily for this guy the paper application saved him.
The guy comes to TikTok to share his experience while he submits his paper application to a Target employee at the location he was applying to. What happened next was astonishing to him and although in the end, he was grateful, it makes you thankful for honest people.
Turns out that the Target employee was basically saying that working there sucked and when he took to TikTok to share his story, it looks like every other Target employee completely agrees that the employee did him a favor by throwing out his application. If you want to know more about what happened and what people had to say in response, then keep on reading as we dive into this story.
This post is what he was responding to whenever he told his story about the target application.
He went to TikTok in response to this girl's video showing excitement about the virtual Target interview that she got. He decided to respond to her video by telling his story of what happened when he went to submit his application.
TikTok | @dontmindstephHere he is giving his statement on what happened when he went to give his application to this Target employee, Chester.
@jordan_the_stallion8He goes on to explain how the employee took the application from his hands right then and there.
@jordan_the_stallion8He said that the employee literally walked over to the trash can and threw his application away.
@jordan_the_stallion8He said that Chester told him "I did you the biggest favor ever."
@jordan_the_stallion8People started replying with their own experiences and said that Chester was 100% right about that.
keroger754This isn't really something that you say to your newly hired employee, but okay.
astro.713People stated how they quit the job soon after starting for various reasons, including this one.
dw198907People gave hilarious excuses for quitting their Target job soon after starting.
david954Seems like other people tried to warn off applicants as well when they worked at Target.
truuu_jilloIt seems like everyone was agreeing with Chester, but why?
jonniviceeThis is true. If you're not happy with the job and looking elsewhere also or don't feel it's worth it then don't let others make the same mistake.
gxldxfLet's all find us a Chester.
tom.qnI'd be like "excuse me but how?" This just seems so confusing.
naaatchiiiI think a lot of us wish we met a Chester before applying places.
tattooedgoliathOoop, but she didn't say if she agreed or not.
ab.rielleeeOkay after hearing this whole story I think it's safe to say that we all wish there were Chesters at every job because sometimes it's best to avoid putting in the application altogether. Chester saved this man the time of working somewhere unpleasant and all the comments came in to agree with him.
