Internet's New Optical Illusion Has Everyone Debating Which Way Is The Kid On The Swing Is Facing
A new optical illusion is firing up debates all over the internet. It's like blue dress, gold dress all over again

You probably remember The Dress and the Yanny and Laurel internet disputes. Who doesn’t? The had people divided into two armies, and they both defended vigorously their point of view. The dress was either blue and black or gold and white.
And the Yanny and Laurel made you listen to it over and over and over again until you can figure out what did they say. Or commit a suicide - whichever comes first.
Some people were able to change perspective and see the picture as the other side sees it, but then they couldn’t return to their original point of view. (I am ashamed to admit, I am one of those people).
The debate is heated by the fact that we think that our perspective is the right one, but it is just the way that our brain chose to process the information. The brain always takes the easier path and doesn’t want to bother with unnecessary info. (I am ashamed to admit, I am one of those people).
The newest brain-crusher is a video of a kid on a swing, going back and forth. Very nice and amusing - for him. For us, it is torture trying to find out if he is facing the building or the camera.
Like similar optical illusions, you don't see at first why is it called an optical illusion. He is clearly facing the camera. But, if you look at it again...
Ana is asking if the kid on the swing is looking in the direction of the building or towards the camera.
@esnycuddlesTo be honest, when I first saw this, I didn’t comprehend how she could see the kid as swinging in the direction of the camera. He’s obviously facing the building, and a lot of people concurred with me:
People started making diagrams to explain how the kid could be swinging towards the camera
What do you think? Is the kid facing the camera or the building?
