"I'm a eternal student of art and the female figure beauty. Whenever I can, I always aim for self improvement of my perception and craft.
Nowadays most of my digital artwork revolves around pin-ups, it's simply one of my main passions in life. Occasionally I like to model with oil based plasteline for study purposes."
While his artistic tastes introduces the viewers and fans to a plethora of fandoms, it's clear that he is a big enough fan of superheroes to feature quite a few of them in his work. Sometimes, even his superhero (and villain) themed work is commissioned, but plenty of it is just for the fun and delight of creating art as a skilled artist.
It's undeniably true that practicing one's art with iconic pop culture characters is a great way to practice generally, hone skill intentionally, and spread your name and work across the Internet for fans to delight in! Kimio's work is easily digestible and quite enjoyable, whether you're into the pin-up style or not!
1. Harley Quinn
2. Misty, I Choose You!
3. "Pam's Flowers"
The artist says:
"Every now and then I like to do 'fanarts' and imagine how some characters would be in certain situations. So I took Poison Ivy and thought how would she be like if she wasn't a villainess, but a sweet country girl who came to town to start a business and sell some of her flowers.
Flowers are a recurring theme in my work as I believe it adds a nice feminine and soft touch to the girls I like to draw as I'm trying to push the beauty in the image."
4. She Hulk
5. Tinkerbell
6. "Quinn of Diamonds"
7. Wonder Woman
The artist says:
"She is part of a series of a fan art illustrations I intend to develop over time. Heroines in some pose on white background with some graphic elements. In this case I decided to do Wonder Woman, the most iconic of heroines, to start this little project of mine. The idea is to keep it simple, as if it's almost a poster or a card.
I like this kind of work, It's quite clean and pleasant to see."
8. "Bowsette"
9. "Nuke Quinn"
10. Disney Girls - Pin Up Style
The artist says:
"Simple idea really, a classic portrait painting but very colorful and stylish reminiscence from Disney's movies with a pinup appeal where all the girls are in lingerie or something similar but within a classical portrait depiction.
I've been developing it for months, from each individual girl to the layout sketches and painting. A few hours per week and here is the result. It was quite laborious to paint, I tried to go deep into the details as well as work well volumes to give it a realistic but charming render in the best way possible. I tried to keep the style of each of the girls designs but adding an extra personal touch."
