Since ancient times, there have been individuals who have created different artworks in order to put themselves out there and also to document their lifestyle and culture. Nizar is a visual designer from Tetouan, Morocco, and he has been creating artworks for years now.

As far as Nizar is concerned, he sees modern art, which makes use of digital media, as an evolution of traditional art. That is the reason he tried to work with traditional art and blend it into a digital medium, very much like what renaissance artists did when they got motivated by components from the classical times to make their own artworks.

The artist makes use of digital collage photoshopping and applies it to classical works of art. "I use references to pop culture such as well-known memes, renowned movies, food chains, current events (like the Covid-19 pandemic), brands, etc.," says Nizar.

"I'm an old-style workmanship darling since traditional canvases let you time travel and have a brief look at the world that is a distant memory now. Adding a few components from mainstream society permits me to bring those bygone eras nearer to current days and check them out from another viewpoint," he added.
