Winter is the time of year for bundling up, enjoying the holidays and spending time with friends and family. Sadly we can sometimes forget about our four-legged friends who do not have a warm home to go. This Ikea in Italy, however, has not forgotten.
In Catania, Italy, stray dogs have been welcomed into Ikea's "homes," offering them not only warmth but comfort. Not to mention all the love they can possibly get from store workers and customers, alike. Some dogs have even had the opportunity to be adopted by Ikea staff to live in their forever homes.
This instance isn't the first time Ikea has given us all the feels. They've also teamed up with pet charities in the United States in their "Home for Hope" campaign to provide loving homes for stray animals.
If Ikea isn't encouraging us all to spread the love this holiday season, I don't know what will.
The customers of this Ikea are praising the store's kindness and for good reason. This guy looks so peaceful.
It's a great selling point for Ikea as well. Who wouldn't want their home to look so full of love at holiday times?
I'd be happy to come home to this scene. And the rug is dog-friendly? I'll take two.
Hopefully he's dreaming of chasing balls and loving new owners!
The dogs don't seem to mind being part of the room decor...
...And are even helping some customers make the tough decisions.
The message here is clear: A little kindness goes a long way. Maybe we can't all open our homes to stray dogs (you should if you can!), but this holiday season every one of us can open our hearts and open our minds to show a little warmth in other ways.
