Woman Accused By Her Ex's GF Of "Stealing" His Attention At Her Birthday Party, Calls The Whole Thing Off

As a relationship develops, it goes through many different phases. After the initial few months of puppy love, when you can't get enough of each other, you develop into a mature, happy couple who are secure in their newfound love.

Then there are the less enjoyable phases, like disagreement and boredom. This might eventually result in a breakup, which would make many wonder why individuals break up.

Given that it frequently entails letting go of shared dreams and a close emotional bond, this choice can be difficult and unpleasant. A breakup can cause a variety of feelings, such as confusion, rage, and despair.

When both parties no longer find the relationship rewarding or healthy, it's a painful but important move to take. It is imperative to address it with compassion, comprehension, and candid communication in order to reduce harm and foster personal development.

The OP and her ex separated even though they already had a daughter together. He started dating someone new and invited the OP and his daughter to her birthday.

As the music played and the kids were dancing, the OP's daughter came up to the OP and asked her to dance. She agreed, and her daughter called her father too, and they started dancing with her.

Apparently, the birthday girl wasn't okay with it, and she called the party off. She then personally attacked the OP, asking why she left if she wasn't over her ex.

OP has offered the following explanation for why they think they might be the AH:

1/ I was dancing and playing with our daughter and my ex (and other kids) 2/ I might be wrong because it was her birthday party so I could have told him to go back to sit next to her or not go at all (although I was invited)

Yes, the OP and her ex didn't work out as a romantic relationship, but they are still a family. If they were dancing with the child and not each other, or if other people were present and the dancing together was innocent, many women would feel threatened by it.

The OP and her ex didn't give the GF any thought at all. The post was given the "not enough info" verdict.
